Casting Call: Lost Fantasy Hero! - Princess Valentine

Did everyone (or at least my friends in the United States) have a good Thanksgiving week? I had a nice one and now I'm back with the next installment of my Lost Fantasy Hero: Casting Call! Let's put down those leftover turkey sandwiches for a second and jump right back into this thing!

Second pick!

I'm only on the second one of these selections and it's already getting a bit tough! Today we have the beautiful yet sometimes absentminded, Princess Valentine!

She ain't scared!

Princess Valentine's character is a bit of everything with two of the major components being fairy tale princesses and beauty queens! Who better to play her than a good old fashioned, dumb as a box of rocks and staplers beauty queen? At first, this was a no brainer and I went with the sensational Carrie Prejean! (Click on her name for her infamous moment in the sun!) But then I remembered... HER!!! (OMG! Click here too! lol)

Fight for the role, ladies!

Casting Call: Lost Fantasy Hero! - James

You know what would be a dream come true for me? To have a Lost Fantasy Hero movie made! I can see it now... elaborate sets... fabulous costumes... CGI... animatronics... and most important of all... hot thespian action! LOL!

Do you remember the Casting Call feature from Wizard Magazine? I loved that and thought I would recreate some of the fun using celebrities from all mediums, mainstream and adult, here on my blog!

Let's get started with my first pick!

My first fantasy casting is Antonio of HotGymnast.com for the main character, James! He seems to be a bit on the rude and arrogant side... but he's hot! LOL! So I can totally deal with it and you can't deny that he's got a hot bod and fantastic look for James! If he gives my fantasy director and production staff any attitude, they can just take it out on him during filming because that's what being James is all about!

I ♥ "Tarot: Witch of the the Black Rose"!

If you haven't picked up an issue of Jim Balent's "Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose" then you are missing out, my friend!

I want to talk about the creator a bit before I talk about this amazing comic. Mr. Balent is perhaps best known for his run on DC's Catwoman back in the 90's and is admired for his style in the art of sexy, curvy ladies. It's also worth mentioning that his Catwoman costume of the purple bodysuit with black thigh high boots and long black hair coming out from the back of the hood is my all time favorite design! Oh man, the way she used to store her whip down the inside of her boot? SO HOT!!! LOL!

I once saw this art piece referred to as "The Mona Lisa of Comics"!

After that run he started his own company, BroadSword Comics, home of the fabulous heroine, "Tarot", a sensational red-headed diva and her amazing (and for ADULTS ONLY!) magickal adventures!

Other characters include her villainous sister, the scorned Raven, who happens to be one of my favorite characters from the series. Skeleton Man, (Don't let the name fool you! He is all BARA!! LOL!) is a love interest of Tarot, new to the world of magick and the supernatural, and sometimes on the receiving end of a bare-bottom spanking at the hands of one pissed off nun! LOL!

Aside from all hot bods and gorgeous art, the plots are very strong and engaging! Meaningful story-lines that at times can even invoke your emotions. I especially enjoy all of the spirituality and symbolism throughout the series. There really isn't any wonder in my opinion as to why BroadSword Comics always wins Best Indy awards and accolades! I highly recommend the series and hope you will enjoy it as much as I have over the years!

Another comic is finished! What should I do next?

The other day someone told me that they think drawing sexy hunks (and sometimes, gals) all day would be a lot of fun... and it is! But sometimes it can be a really daunting task to come up with new plots and situations for these characters! I even wonder will people get bored if I draw another sexy stud getting milked... or spanked... or getting his sweet ass pounded? LOL! Naaah!! No way!! But I'm hoping to break some new personal ground as I continue to draw new art!

I want to start off by saying that San Diego Comic Con was a LOT of fun this year! I must thank Ted from Prism for giving me booth time and space so I could promote the Midnightman TPB and meet some of my fans! It's always an amazing feeling when people tell you that they appreciate your work right in your face! LOL ;)

My next meet and greet will be at the annual Hard Heroes party on August 7 at MJ's!

Oh, and submissions to the Midnightman art contest happening at y!Gallery have come to a close! The next step is to round up all of the entries submitted so the public voting can begin on August 7 at y!Gallery. Please keep an eye out for that upcoming journal post on y!Gallery and let me know if your submission is missing right away!

Boytoon Adventures!

"Gee! What a neat art style!", that was my first thought when I first picked up a copy of Boytoon Adventures. I wondered where Patrick Fillion found this 'Bryce Peters' character. Imagine my surprise after reading the book's introduction and discovering that Bryce Peters IS Patrick Fillion!!! OMG WTF LOL!!! I didn't see that one coming!

It took me a while to actually get around to reading this book! Believe it or not, I'm actually a little gunshy about reading naughty comics when my guy is home! (I know, right? LOL!) Anyway, I eventually was able to have my chance with Boytoon Adventures, a wonderful collection of shorts stories starring Class Comics' classic characters! I highly recommend both 'The Ambush, starring Zahn' and 'The Match, starring Zach, Wade and Topher', but everything about the book was sensational.

I can't get enough of Patrick's art style as Bryce and hope to see new material very soon!!

The story follows a couple of rough and tough truckers who basically stick their cocks into just about anyone they come across! Traveling the road with them is Gary, a young college student who falls victim of the truckers dicks as well as fists! (yeah, not really nice guys) The chapter after that puts our new favorite truckers' relationship to the test when Tom wakes up and discovers (and honest to goodness) pussy between his legs! (WTF!) I went into this graphic novel thinking that the subject matter wouldn't be my cup of tea, but I found it to be real fun with fantastic dialogue, impressive and detailed inks! I got hooked! Spunk Toons!

So I finally got a pass for a site called spunktoons.com and I have to say that it's worth checking out! You will find many pin-ups, webcomics, animations and even links to other artist sites. The superhero section was one of my personal favorites! It's taken me days to see what I have already seen and I know there's still a whole lot left for me to discover!

I really liked that the pictures were organized by category such as "men in uniform" and "gay sex". Some are serialized such as "Birdman vs. Clown". (Guess who they're supposed to be! lol) The webcomics also had a little something for everyone. Themes I saw were "wild west", "ninjas", "surfers" and even "vampires"! My personal favorite webcomic was a femboy Hulk story. (It made me wish it was a real Marvel Comics title! Oof!)

My next discoveries will be the animations and she-male galleries. It will give me something to talk about later, that's for sure! Go ahead and check spunktoons.com out. They even have a $3.99 for 3 Day Trial in case you're on the fence about it! (If you do anything there, check out the Femboy Hulk comic and tell me what you think in the comments below! lol)

One of My Favorite Things: Side By Side!

Hi all, I'd like to take this time to talk about an amazing book I picked up a while back called Side By Side. Written and Illustrated by super talented Mioki and published by the great people at Bruno Gmünder. The story follows Rick and Evan, two young men who move to the big city and discover themselves. (and each other!) Aside from the fun and interesting plot, I really enjoyed the book's beautiful layouts. The detail in each frame is simply breathtaking! (the boys look equally delicious too!) Mioki sets a high standard for erotica that I hope to someday achieve and I urge everyone to drop what they're doing, run right out and pick up a copy of Side By Side. It really is one of my favorites! I highly recommend it!

There's a pretty big update on the site this month!

San Diego Comic Con Report & Upcoming "Midnightman" Graphic Novel

I had a blast!!

I had a great time at San Diego Comic Con this year! I was able to make all three of my scheduled appearances at the Prism Comics booth and much to my surprise... people actually showed up to see me! It was an honor to meet everyone who set aside the time to see me. Thank you!

I was only able to draw a few free inked sketches for people who stopped by. An hour really does fly by very quickly at the con, doesn't it? Off the top of my head... I was able to draw Aquaman, Aqualad (These two were very popular requests!) and Superboy.

A big thanks to the great people at Prism Comics for inviting me. You are an awesome group of people! What you are doing for LGBT comic book creators and related issues is an invaluable service. Thank you!

I was able to pick up a lot of freebies, comics, Megaman Zero & Resident Evil 5 artbooks and I finally have... THIS!!!
